The Niagara Association of Homebrewers Invitational

The Niagara Association of Homebrewers (NAH) Invitational (Aka NAH Homebrew of the Year Award) award is scored by awarding points for placements in the Amber Waves of Grain (AWOG) competition. The brewer with the highest cumulative points across all entries wins the title and is named NAH Homebrewer of the Year.

NAH Co-Brewer of the year

As Determined by the Esteemed Committee of Tim Collins & Tom Sirgey (A committee of exactly two people, but with the decision‑making power of at least three.) In recognition of unparalleled teamwork, unshakable camaraderie, and the rare ability to nod knowingly at a hydrometer reading even when no one is entirely sure what it means, we proudly present the Co‑Brewer of the Year Award. This honorary distinction celebrates the brewer who has demonstrated exceptional skill in: Stirring mash while offering emotional support Holding hoses with confidence and only mild confusion Providing constructive feedback such as “Yeah, that smells right” And most importantly, showing up — physically, mentally, and occasionally with snacks Chosen by the legendary duo Tim Collins and Tom Sirgey, whose combined brewing wisdom rivals that of ancient monks (but with better jokes), this award honors the spirit of inclusion, teamwork, and togetherness that keeps our brewing community strong. Because great beer isn’t brewed alone — it’s brewed with friends, laughter, questionable decisions, and at least one person saying, “Wait… did we add the hops yet?” Tonight, we raise a glass to the Co‑Brewer of the Year: A partner in brewing, a champion of collaboration, and a reminder that the best beers are made when everyone feels welcome at the kettle. Cheers to teamwork, shared victories, and the beautiful chaos of co‑brewing.
